Tony Parker is a renowned attorney in the private sector who has been practicing for almost 30 years. He has been led counsel in more than 300 cases both federal, financial, and civil. He has represented individuals and multinational corporations in both State and federal courts. Mr. Parker also has extensive experience representing clients involved in complex cases and “high profile” clients.

Attorney Parker has represented numerous clients, both individuals and corporations, who have been charged with crimes. Loan Fraud, SEC Violations, allegations involving the sale of securities without a license, Investor Fraud, to name a few areas. This helps to diversify his portfolio as he has been most successful in cases including finance. Mr. Parker has handled over 100 “special circumstances” cases where it was deemed impossible. Tony Parker is a member of the New York State Bar and received his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in 1990. Mr. Parker received his B.A. from Occidental College in 1986. Mr. Parker.

James L. Milner is a Senior attorney with the law firm Consumer Protection Agency.  Mr. Milner assists the partners, Tony G. Parker and Joshua B. Hecht in all of their cases, including financial law, family law, property damage due to oil spills, and commercial litigation.

Experience

Prior to joining the Consumer Protection Agency, Mr. Milner interned with the Queens County Legal Aid Society where he was able to get first-hand experience with the criminal justice system.  Mr. Milner also interned with the Labor Relations Department of the Office of Court Administration and the corporate compliance department of Care Guardian, Inc., a Licensed Home Care Service Agency.

Education

Mr. Milner attended St. John’s University where he majored in Legal Studies, graduated magna cum laude, and was on the Dean’s List for all eight semesters. Afterwards, Mr. Milner attended St. John’s University School of Law where he was on the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Journal.

Approach

Mr. Milner believes that the clients of the Consumer Protection Agency should receive legal services indicative of the knowledge, compassion, patience, and experience necessary to protect their legal rights. As such, Mr. Milner works closely and attentively with the Consumer Protection Agency to ensure that the clients receive this level of care. Additionally, Mr. Milner is cognizant of the fact that no legal battle is an easy one; all litigation is strenuous and stressful. To make sure that the clients of the Consumer Protection Agency are not overwhelmed, Mr. Milner exercises the necessary patience and compassion to ensure this goal is met.

Michael Petersfield is a partner of the law firm of a consumer protection agency, Mr. Petersfield focuses his practice on mainly law of finance and commercial litigation. Before starting the firm, Mr. Petersfield was an associate attorney with the firm of Helwig, Henderson, Ryan & Spinola, LLP where he practiced the law of finance from 2009 to March 2013. During law school, Mr. Petersfield worked at a commercial litigation firm in Miami, Florida, and also clerked at the Supreme Court, Nassau County, for the Honorable Joseph P. Spinola. Mr. Petersfield is a graduate of Cornell University where he majored in Applied Economics and Business Management. After graduating from Cornell University, he attended the University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Petersfield believes that the most important service that he provides is education for his clients. By explaining to every client how the law relates to his or her case, and the potential for different legal strategies and outcomes, he provides his clients with the ability to understand the potential benefits and risks associated with every action available to them. Mr. Petersfield advises his clients and does a cost/benefit analysis to aid them in determining their best and most efficient course of action while letting the client chart their course through the litigation. He believes that it is his job to educate and advise, but ultimately, the client gets to make their own educated decisions, each step of the way throughout their case. Michael was recently nominated and accepted to the Super Lawyers list as a Rising Star, a distinction reserved for just two and a half (2.5%) percent of attorneys in New York. 

Bruce Cassidy Currently serves as Chair of the Environmental Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association and is admitted to practice in New York State, Southern and Eastern Districts of the United States District Court, Supreme Court of the United States of America, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, United States Court of Federal Claims, United States Court of Military Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals 2nd Circuit. Mr. Cassidy was an associate at Brown Raysman & Millstein and Certilman, Haft Balin Buckley Kremer & Hyman before establishing himself in 1993 where he established himself by concentrating on corporate and individual clients that were represented both at the trial and appellate level. Mr. Cassidy has been an active member of the New York County Trial Lawyers Association and has volunteered in the Trial Lawyers Care Program assisting surviving family members seeking compensation under the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. In 2013, Mr. Cassidy joined with his partners Tony G. Parker and Joshua Hecht to form the Consumer Protection Agency. Mr. Casidy offers comprehensive experience in areas of practice important to businesses and individuals, including oil spill litigation covered under New York Navigation Law, insurance litigation, real estate transactions resulting in litigation, and matrimonial litigation.

Mr. Cassy’s clients participate in diverse industries, including, real estate, banking, information and intellectual technology, insurance services, internet services, manufacturing, communications, and transportation. A considerable portion of Mr. Cassidy’s practice is devoted to significant first and third-party property damage claims and individuals who have suffered a serious injury as a result of the negligence of others in both the state and federal courts. Mr. Cassidy is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association.  Mr. Cassidy also acts as general counsel to the firm and its partners.

Barbara’s journey in law began in 2018 at the Consumer Protection Agency, where she started as a legal associate. Her exemplary performance and her passion for legal advocacy quickly earned her a promotion to partner in December 2023. Throughout her tenure at the Consumer Protection Agency, Barbara demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her clients and a profound understanding of each case and the different circumstances surrounding it. She excelled in legal research, meticulously prepared paperwork, and expertly handled motions on numerous complex cases. Her invaluable mentor, Tony Parker recognized her potential and guided her, fostering her growth as a skilled legal professional. Barbara’s academic brilliance is highlighted by her graduation with Magna Cum Laude honors from the prestigious California Western School of Law. Her induction into The State Bar of New York in November 2022 further cemented her reputation as a committed advocate for justice. Beyond her legal achievements, Barbara Johnson has a large portfolio managing many male and female soccer players across the United States, Europe, and South America. Additionally, the agency manages the careers of professional baseball and volleyball players within the United States, looking ahead, Barbara envisions a future of continued growth and success. Her dedication to providing exceptional legal counsel and her commitment to elevating clients drive her to make a lasting impact in both the legal and financial aspects of her management.

Experience

 Mr. Chase worked with a prominent eight-attorney tax law firm in Garden City, where he handled numerous contentious and complex tax cases involving large transactions. Mr. Chase has successfully litigated cases in courts throughout the metropolitan area and has successfully represented clients on appeal.  Mr. Chase obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from the State University of New York at Albany School of Business in 2000, and a law degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 2006. Mr. Chase utilizes his dual background to navigate through the financial complexities of the financial world.
